ARMEEN ACY
In the dynamic realm of entertainment, Armeen Acy, formerly Shaliek, emerges as a true visionary, leaving an indelible mark on the industry landscape as an actor, director, writer, producer, singer and songwriter. Born in the Bronx, NY, Armeen developed a deep passion for singing and acting which resulted in him winning countless talent shows and landing leading roles in school plays. At the tender age of 8, Armeen began to study greats like Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman dreaming of one day following in their footsteps. After graduating High School, acting took the backseat to music when Armeen signed a major record deal with Universal Music Group under the direction of former Chairman and CEO Doug Morris. The demanding tour and recording schedule made it nearly impossible for Armeen to fully focus on acting but he vowed to never let it go. From singing backup for James Brown at the MTV Music Awards and working with Alicia Keys, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis and Corey Rooney to having 3 songs on the Billboard Radio Airplay Charts and being nominated for 2 Soul Train Music Awards, Armeen continues to be a growing force in the music industry. The untimely passing of his manager slowly pushed Armeen away from music subsequently reuniting him with his old flame, acting. His commitment to his craft led him to adopt the philosophy of "crawling before you walk." Devoting 2 years to be a stand-in and background artist for film and television, he immersed himself in the intricacies of the industry. Notable appearances include "Senior Year" starring Rebel Wilson, "Doom Patrol" on HBO Max, "Respect" staring Jennifer Hudson and Tyler Pery's "Sistas" on BET. Feeling prepared and groomed, Armeen found an agent and started auditioning for bigger roles, quickly landing a smal but pivotal role in CBS's "Interogation", appearing in 3 episodes. Armeen also landed roles in the hit drama series Atlanta (FX/Hulu), "The Inventor", "The Jacksquad 2", and most recently "Botch" With a fervor for storyteling, Armeen launched a production company, Acy Entertainment and co-created a drama TV series called "Chapter 47", as wel as several short films. In conclusion, Armeen Acy emerges not only as a talent to watch but as a visionary shaping the entertainment landscape. His commitment to storyteling, dedication to education, and creative prowess position him as a multifaceted force in the industry. Follow Armeen's journey, support his endeavors, and witness the unfolding of a remarkable artist.
